Pardeep, a major port of India for trade activities along the coastline, is a pleasant tourist destination 94 km from Cuttack. The important pilgrimage center is 65 km from Cuttack. Known as 'Tulsi Kshetra'. this temple is famous as Lord Baldev.

A grand car festival is held here every year which draws a huge crowd. Situated 60 km from Cuttack, Jhakkad houses the shrine of Goddess Sarala and is associated with the first epic poet of Orissa, Sarala Das. Wilts thrilling moments can also be enjoyed in Bhitarkanika National Park.

Spread over 367 square kilometers, it has a wide variety of animals in its mangrove forests, which are crossed by rivers and creeks. Known for crocodiles, Gahirmatha beach has sea turtles and water monitoring lizards, it has rare white crocodiles. It is also a park for deer and migratory birds. One can also see 10th-11th century temples, sculptures, earthen forts and pottery.

A major port of Orissa, Pardeep also boasts a fine beach where visitors can spend one or two hours soaking in the sun or relaxing in the lovely blue waters.

How to Go Paradeep Sea Beach

  1. By Air: - The nearest airport is Bhubaneswar, 125 km. away.
  2. By Rail: - Connected with Cuttack, 94 km away.
  3. By Road: - NH-5A connects Pardeep to the 3 major tourist towns of Udayagiri, Lalitgiri and Ratnagiri within 100 km. Radius. The drive along the coastal belt is attractive.
